These drawings are made with human hair on paper in a series that began in 1998. The process involves meticulously working with each strand of hair on the sticky side of a round sticker or archival tape. The units are assembled on paper, or directly onto the wall, as in the "hair wallpaper" collection. Lindsey gathers hair from friends and family as well as from collectors who have commissioned pieces. She made a video entitled hairwork in 2006 to fabricate a fictitious utopian army of crafters, also played by her friends. The video and drawings have been shown in NY, LA, Miami, Paris, London and Brussels, and have been featured in Soma and Surface magazines.
